Bill Moyes' (Australia) interpretation in 1991of the Horten Xc with a 15m span.  Built with glass, carbon fiber, foam and aluminum versus a built-up wooden structure as originally by Horten.
Per Philippe Vigneron, an Australia Gliding article in the August '91 issue offered the following:  'It appears that two German modellers had corresponded with Reimar Horten and had built a model Horten wing, then won a world championship with it.  This apparently pleased Horten to the extent that he offered them drawings of his latest design, the Piernifero 3.  The two modellers could not make use of them so Bill Moyes offered to finance the construction of a prototype.  How Bill met the modellers is not clear.  He paid the modeller's fares to Australia where they spet six months in his hang glider factory building the Horten.'
Al Bowers has been in contact with Bill Moyes about his project and has indicated there may be more information to come on this project which could enhance Al's attempts to finish his analysis of the H Xc.
