Chuck Armbrust (AZ Chuck)  "Here are some planes I came up with that are light weight, small and most important, cheap.  I design these planes for my pleasure and I would like to share them with you.    If you follow the instructions the planes should fly like described. Following instrutions is something I never been able to do, so keep it LIGHT and it will probably work."
Allan Wright:  "Wing Thing #3 completed. I'll get it trimmed out today to fly at NEAT. I didn't take any photos because it looks exactly like #2.  I used the elevons from #2 so I figured I should paint the frame of the wing black to match and cover appropriately. The only thing I did on this one different was to make the center section a little wider (mistake) which gives more room, but I don't know what it will do to the lift. We'll see."
This is a large site with lots of different areas to explore.  It all appears to be in German, so some will need to use something like the AltaVista translator to understand the material.
The Mugi is the final stage in the evolution of a multi-discipline aircraft - slope soarer, bungee or electric power.  The ultimate in recycling and an exciting model for minimal outlay and effort, the Mugi is made entirely from Correx (Coroplast).  It's my hope that by following the comprehensive instructions on this website, lots more modellers will be able to enjoy a great sense of achievement in building one of the simplest and cheapest model aircraft that also happens to be extremely versatile and robust.
This is a page of model aircraft pictures with some expanded text on the models and their owner/designers put together by Andy MacDonald.  There is a warning at the beginning that the page could take a little extra time to load due to the picuture files sizes.

"Noseeum" This wing will fly in the lightest lift and thermals very well.  It is normally built with a tail boom and fixed rudder so it can be side arm launched to incredible heights.
We are committed to producing EPP airframes that are designed with performance in mind, but yet remain simple to build. These gliders are rugged and can take the abuse of the most hostile slopes or pilots. These planes are designed for performance using airfoils that are designed and optimized for the design of each plane.

This is a model site out of Switzerland, according to the URL.  It will need to be translated, but there are some interesting pictures of flying wing models and modelling events.

Tailless wings always have fascinated me and one day a new club member (Karl Schneider) appeared  with a Co6 built on plans of H.-J. Unverferth. Great perform- ance and super flight views seemed to convince. Another colleague already flew more or less successfully  a tailless wing of Robert Schweissgut. After I have bought over an Internet auction a tailless wing with 1.40 m wing span for  only 50 DM, the tailless wing fever had infected me. After finding the homepage IG Nurflügel Switzerland I decided to go this new way and became a member of this IG in order to profit from the experiences of these idealists.
Holverson Designs, Inc.
Is a company that is dedicated to making "cool kits" (fantasy rockets, gliders that glide, and more) and to bring you other fun and useful model rocketry items. And, of course, to make our sturdy launch pads.
This unique looking futuristic wing is called the ZAGI-THL.  It is a high performance slope wing that can be used for combat competitions.  It and other models of combat and thermal gliders can be found at TRICK R/C's site by clicking on zagi.com
Tweety Bird - Flying Wing.  The original Tweety Bird in yellow and the model built from the plans Tweety flying indoors, plane flies well indoors or outside in light breeze. It might be good to experiment with a rudder tab for indoors flying.
You can build your own "flying wing" paper airplane and see how well it flies with and without vertical fins. Check out this page to get step by step instructions on how to build this paper wing.  You start with an 8 1/2" x 11" piece of paper which is common to most everyone and just fold away.  This should be fun for the kids while they are waiting for one of the many foam type flying wings to show up in the mail.
This quick and fun activity comes from Model Aviation Magazine and the Academy of Model Aeronautics. It was submitted to their June 1997 issue by Paul Billings of Niota, Tennessee, with original artwork by Julie Anne Visco. It is presented at this site with permission, in slightly modified form.

How a pure flying wing could fly ? And without a computer on board ? Here is displayed a solution that works, the Paoli flying wing. Come and follow me on the adventurous way of pure flying wing.
The secret of this tailless AND finless aircraft, is very simple, and lies in the particular shape of the ailerons: Their hinges axis is 90° to the airflow.  The wing using a flat airfoils ( yes, it is true !!!), they are cut after building, and inverted, the right aileron goes left, and the left goes right.
